Tess Schaufler is an Academic Advisor in the iSchool at Syracuse University. More importantly, she is a proud and happy recipient of an Empire Housing Rehabilitation grant, which she used for great improvements and energy-efficient updates to her newly purchased home.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in writing and literature from Naropa University and a master’s in English from Rutgers University. Before coming to the School of Information Studies, Schaufler was a teaching assistant at Rutgers.
Tess loves gardening, cooking, theater, and old classic movies. Her love for literature is reflected in the literary-inspired names of her three rescued cats: Grimalkin, Sam Spade, and Cheshire. She is currently taking part in the Master Gardener’s training through the Cornell Cooperative Extension.
