Empire has partnered with a number of communities throughout New York State to develop affordable housing and revitalize neighborhoods. Such organizations include:

Village of Highland Falls, NY

Empire worked with the Village of Highland Falls in orange County to redevelop a key corner in the village center. As developer of the 18-unit subdivision, Empire secured NYS Affordable Housing Corporation (AHC) funds to make homes affordable to the village’s first-time homebuyers.

Charles Commons, Wallkill, NY

Empire assisted a private developer by securing and administering NYS AHC subsidies to make 18 new homes affordable for income eligible buyers in this mixed-income project in Orange County.

Cortland Purchase Rehab, Cortland, NY

Empire secured several AHC grants on behalf of a county-wide not-for-profit, Cortland Housing Assistance Council (CHAC), and then helped administer the program which assists buyers in purchasing homes and making key improvements.

Town of Sherburn Home Improvement Program, Sherburn, NY

Empire wrote a successful grant application on behalf of Opportunities for Change (OFC) to fund a program that assisted income eligible homeowners make improvements to their homes.

Chenango County Purchase Rehab Program

Empire secured AHC funds on behalf of the OFC to fund a county-wide home ownership program.

Chenango County Flood Assistance (Home Improvement)

Empire also helped OFC secure funds to help homebuyers make repairs to their homes damaged by the June 2006 flooding.

Empire secured funds to help those affected by those same June 2006 floods.

Broome County Purchase Rehab Program

Empire partnered with OFC and Opportnities for Broome (OFB) to secure state AHC grants to fund a county-wide homebuyer program in Broome County.

Broome County Flood Assistance (Purchase Rehab)

Empire partnered with OFC and OFB to secure state AHC funds to help flood victims in Broome County purchase and rehab their homes.

Broome County Flood Assistance (Home Improvement)

Empire partnered with OFC and OFB in submitting grant applications to help homeowners in Broome County make repairs to homes damaged by the June 2006 flooding.

Syracuse New Construction Program

Empire partnered with Syracuse Community Development and local not-for-profit, Home Headquarters, to secure New York State subsidies to make new homes affordable for income-eiligible buyers in Syracuse.
